Mautner Project, the National Lesbian Health Organization, has partnered with the Mazzoni Center and The SafeGuards Project, two leading Philadelphia LGBT health organizations, to kick off the “Delicious Lesbian Kisses™” campaign in Philadelphia this Saturday night, March 19, 2005 during Philadelphia’s girL party.

This collaboration is part of an innovative nationwide anti-smoking campaign aimed at lesbian smokers. The “Delicious Lesbian Kisses” campaign is part of an ongoing effort from the Mautner Project to raise awareness of lesbian health issues.Our “Delicious Lesbian Kisses™” campaign offers support and smoking cessation information using positive, sexy images designed by and for women who partner with women.”

The kick off event is taking place in conjunction with the Philadelphia girL party at Sal’s, a popular lesbian hangout.  “Delicious Lesbian Kisses™” promoters are setting up a kissing booth to keep patrons busy during the completely smoke-free affair.  DLK posters, postcards, and wristbands will be distributed to supporters during the Philadelphia kick off celebration Saturday night.   The campaign is partially funded by the American Legacy Foundation, the national anti-smoking organization well known for “The Truth” (About Smoking) and the “Mary Quits” campaigns.
